Pain is something I understand very well. I have been dealing with it for the majority of the last 20 years for various reasons. So what is inside:
Arnica - reduces pain and inflammation and is great to use on bruises, aches, sprains, strains and even arthritis flare-ups. Arnica also helps to reduce irritation from insect bites. Arnica oil, the main ingredient in this salve, contains helenalin. Helenalin is a potent anti-inflammatory, making it a necessity in a natural first aid kit. Arnica infused oil is very helpful for healing and relieving bumps, bruises, muscle aches, spasms, and sprains. It has been known to improve carpal tunnel and help to treat osteoarthritis.
Calendula - a superb anti-inflammatory & helpful for muscle pain and spasms, can prevent aching and aid in the recovery of muscle and ligaments. It can also reduce bruising and contusions while providing elasticity and hydration to the skin.
Cayenne - The main focus in this salve, it naturally is an anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic, containing a constituent called capsaicin. The reason that Cayenne works so well for muscle and nerve pain is that the capsaicin in it blocks a neurotransmitter that transmits pain signals from the nerves to the central nervous system. When cayenne is used topically, it can help relieve all sorts of pain, from neuropathy, back pain, headaches, muscles spasms, menstrual cramps, and even joint pain. How amazing is that?!
Lavender - contains anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that are quite effective for treating pains that arise from muscle stress and tension. Lavender can also ease swelling and improve blood circulation. It is excellent for relieving the muscle spasm caused by mental stress and anxiety.
Turmeric - contains a chemical compound called curcumin. This is what gives the spice its bright colour, though research shows it can also have a positive impact on our health. Studies have widely shown that turmeric is anti-inflammatory. Conditions such as arthritis can result in inflammation and stiffness and so the spice may be of benefit here as it blocks inflammatory enzymes and proteins.
Ginger - helps relieve ailments including fibromyalgia, arthritis and muscle pain, ginger has undergone all sorts of clinical studies for its anti-inflammatory properties. The warming capability of ginger helps to improve circulation and relieve tension in tired, sore muscles.

Orange peel - known to increase blood flow which can relieve discomforts associated with inflammation & headaches. Also is known to reduce the incidents of painful and reflexive muscle contractions. It is traditionally used in massages to relieve stress, abdominal pain and more!
Apply to sore muscles and joints as needed. Do not apply to broken skin or near the eyes, nose or mouth. Wash hands after application to avoid transfer to eyes.
